Beach Passes are required for parking and can be picked up at Sunapee Town Hall or requested online at sunapeenh.portal.opengov.com. Sunapee property owners may receive two free 3-year passes, as well as one free guest pass that can be transferred between cars. Additional stickers may be purchased for $25 each.
Dewey Beach & Georges Mills Beach are open to Sunapee residents and their guests from May 25th until Labor Day (September 2, 2024).
Lifeguard Staffed Hours:
- Georges Mills Beach: Thursday - Saturday ~10am - 4pm (Boat Rentals available)
- Dewey Beach: Monday - Sunday 9am - 5pm
The Sunapee Recreation Department seeks to make recreational opportunities available and accessible to Sunapee residents of all ages. Our department manages several sports teams, Sunapee and Georges Mills Beaches, annual summer camps, and other special events throughout the year.
We have baseball, softball, and soccer in the spring/summer session and basketball in the winter. We also offer 6 levels of swim lessons to meet the experience level of participants, as well as an adults-only fitness bootcamp.
Registration for programs and events can be done online through our website {Rec Desk link} or in-person at the Recreation Office.
