2026 Season!!
On May 23rd, our Beach staff will be holding beach cleanup day and getting everything set for summer season. We officially open Dewey Beach on Monday May 25th for the 2026 season.
Located on beautiful Lake Sunapee, Dewey Beach is open 7 days a week, June 17th - Sept 7th, from 9am-5pm Monday - Sundays (lifeguard hours) weather permitting. George's Mills Beach will not have lifeguards, but the bathrooms will remain open. The beach areas open at 6am and are available to the Sunapee residence and their guests until 9pm daily. Please note that during non-staffed periods there are no lifeguard on duty.
The ‘Shack’ is home to information about the beach and refreshments to purchase. Enjoy the playground, and basketball.
Picnic tables and lounge chairs are complimentary.
Paddleboard and kayaks can be checked out by the Shed. Please see a Beach attendant for information.

Swim evaluations will be held on Saturday June 20, 2026 10AM-12 PM at Dewey Beach.
** Must have a Resident Permit or beach pass to park in the beach lot or on Garnett St for Beach parking**
**Permits can be obtained at the Town Hall in Sunapee**
*** $10 beach parking can be purchased with a swim lesson ***
